A content curation Chrome extension for your next post
A content curation Chrome extension helps you save useful pages, images, and links while you browse, so a promising social media idea does not disappear into a forgotten tab. Moqup Quick Share is designed to bring that moment of inspiration into the workspace where you already plan and review your posts.
Picture a customer question in an industry article, a product announcement worth discussing, or a photo from your own website that would make a strong post. The useful part is often the angle you noticed. Saving the original link gives you somewhere to return when you are ready to write that angle in your brand's voice.
Quick Share keeps the capture step small. You can copy the current page's title and URL from the extension popup, and its right-click menu offers separate actions for a page, an image, or a link. The share-enabled workflow connects those actions to an editable Moqup draft.
Moqup Quick Share launch status
Moqup Quick Share has been submitted to the Chrome Web Store and is awaiting review as of October 8, 2026. We will add the installation link once the listing is available. There is no public download link in this announcement yet.
The submitted version includes Copy and Open Moqup in the popup. Copy places the page title and URL on your clipboard; Open Moqup takes you to the app. Direct saving from the right-click actions requires the upcoming share-enabled extension update. The Moqup share receiver is already live, ready for that update.
The steps below describe the direct-save experience that the share-enabled version will use. If your installed version opens the Moqup homepage without creating a draft, use Copy to keep the reference and add it to a draft yourself.
What you can save as a social media content idea
Different sources need different context. An article might support a helpful explanation, a link might point to a resource your customers need, and an image might become the visual for a post. Keeping the reference alongside the draft makes it easier to turn each one into something useful.
- Pages: keep the page title and URL as the starting point for your idea.
- Images: keep the image URL and the page where you found it. In the direct-save workflow, supported public images are imported so you can preview and use them as draft media.
- Links: keep the destination URL and the source page so you remember why you saved the resource.
- Untitled sources: use a readable default such as Shared from example.com when no title is available.
How the social media Chrome extension draft workflow works
With the share-enabled extension version, the handoff is straightforward: choose the item you want to send, sign in if needed, and continue in Moqup. The app preserves the shared content through sign-in rather than asking you to find the page again.
Moqup saves the idea in your active workspace as an unscheduled draft and opens its editor. The title becomes the draft headline, the shared URL stays in the copy as a reference, and image or link shares include a note about the source page. You can then write the actual post, choose its channel, and decide when it belongs on your calendar.
- Use Send page to Moqup for the page you are reading.
- Use Send image to Moqup for a specific image, or Send link to Moqup for a linked resource.
- Sign in to Moqup if prompted. If you have several workspaces, make the intended one active before sharing.
- Review the saved draft, replace the reference notes with your finished caption when appropriate, and check the media.
- Choose a publishing date and approve the post when it is ready. Saving an idea leaves it unscheduled.
Turn saved links into useful content curation
A folder full of links is only a collection. Content curation becomes useful when you select a source for a reason and explain why it matters to your audience. Before drafting, finish this sentence: Our customers should see this because… That answer is often your opening line.
For example, a landscaping business could save an article about watering during dry weather, then write a practical post about checking soil moisture before adding another watering session. A software team could save its own release notes and turn one improvement into a short customer-focused announcement. A local retailer could save an owned product photo and draft an explanation of who the product suits.
Use the original link to check the facts. Add your experience, a clear takeaway, or a question that invites a useful response. You are choosing and interpreting the source for your customers, rather than expecting a saved URL to do the writing for you.
A web clipper for social media planning
A general web clipper is useful for research and reading later. Moqup Quick Share is focused on the next step: keeping a reference close to an editable social media draft. The goal is to reduce the distance between noticing something worth sharing and making a decision about a post.
The shared link does not automatically scrape an entire article, summarize its contents, or publish a post. You still shape the copy in Moqup and review the final result. That makes the workflow useful for small teams that want to collect ideas during the day and work through them together with their other drafts.
Keep the source and check the image
Keep the source page available while you draft, especially when an image has been shared separately from the article around it. It can help you find the creator, the original context, and the information you need before using the material in your own marketing.
Image import depends on the image being publicly accessible and in a supported format. If the site blocks access or the image cannot be imported, Moqup shows an error so you can retry or use another image. For a dependable first example, use a photo from your own public website.
Before scheduling, check the caption, selected workspace, channel, image, and date. A captured reference is a starting point; the finished post should make sense on its own.
Build a workspace for your saved content ideas
If you are new to Moqup, start by setting up the workspace for your brand. That gives your saved references a home alongside the content you are already planning. Once Quick Share's share-enabled update is available, you can bring new ideas into that same workflow as you browse.

Recommended next step
Start with your website and set up your brand workspace, so your next useful page, link, or image has somewhere to become a social media draft.
FAQ
What is a content curation Chrome extension?
A content curation Chrome extension helps you collect relevant pages, images, or links while browsing. Moqup Quick Share is designed to connect that capture step to editable social media drafts in your Moqup workspace.
Can I install Moqup Quick Share from the Chrome Web Store?
As of October 8, 2026, the extension is awaiting Chrome Web Store review. This article will be updated with the installation link when the listing is available. Direct draft saving also requires the share-enabled extension update.
Does saving a content idea publish it automatically?
No. The direct-save workflow creates an unscheduled draft and opens the editor. You decide how to edit, schedule, and approve it in Moqup.
What happens if I am signed out of Moqup?
The direct-save workflow takes you to sign-in and preserves the shared title, URL, type, and source page. After authentication, Moqup can save the draft in your active workspace. If you do not have a workspace, the receiver prompts you to set one up.
Why does the extension only open the Moqup homepage?
The submitted version opens the app but does not yet send the content into a draft. Use its Copy action to keep the title and URL. Direct saving is part of the share-enabled update; the Moqup receiver is already ready for it.
